Thomas J. Elliott, 59, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Shamokin at the home of his caregivers.
Born in Shamokin on June 5, 1966, he was the son of the late Richard J. Elliott and his surviving mother, Barbara A. (Estock) Elliott.
Tom worked for many years at Cressona Aluminum. He enjoyed fishing and loved classic cars.
His surviving family includes his son- Thomas R. “Tucker” Elliott of Schuylkill Haven, his brother- Richard “Rick” Elliott with his wife Gloria of Frackville, his 2 sisters- Kimberly Shatalsky with her husband Frank of Ringtown and Sharon Fey with her husband Tim of Frackville, along with several nieces and nephews and also his caregivers- Ezmerelda and Carlos.
Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

Maryann Devaney, 80, of Girardville passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27th at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg.
Born in Girardville, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Cuff) Gallagher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William L. Devaney; a son, Edward Devaney; her brothers: Edward and John Gallagher and her sister, Margaret Gallagher.
Maryann is survived by her two sons: William Devaney and Daniel Devaney of Girardville; her daughter, Molly Fera and her husband Stephen of Atlantic Beach, SC; her brothers: Tom Gallagher and Jim Gallagher; her sister, Elizabeth Gallagher; her grandchildren: Caitlin Fera, Edward Devaney, Kendall Bowman, Kyle Devaney, Megan Marsh, Mikayla Devaney, Grace Devaney, Caleb Devaney and Nolan Devaney; her great-grandchild, Kennedy Bowman; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 8th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs with Fr. Guency Isaac officiating.

Dolores “Dolly” Lipinsky, 91, of St. Clair, died Friday July 25, 2025 at her daughter’s home.
Born in Pottsville September 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Homski) Stempinski.
She retired from the garment industry having worked for several area factories, and was a member of ILGWU.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair and the former Ss. Peter & Paul RCC.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Lipinsky in 2017 and a brother Frank Stempinski.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Sonia Egan and her husband Norman of St. Clair; Rachelle Kemfort and her husband Bruce of Seltzer; 5 grandchildren: Norman Egan and his wife Elizabeth, Shannon Shaffer and her husband Ken, Selena Slackus and her husband Steve, Stacy Silfies and her husband Tyler, Alyssa Brennan and her husband Sean,12 great grandchildren Nolan, Carson, Chaylee, Cora, Maylynn, Amon, Declan, Maeve, Curran, Layla, Sadie and Natalie and nieces and nephews.
Dolly loved life. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed watching the Polkas and entertaining family and friends providing plenty of food and drinks. Cleaning, baking goodies, and decorating were among her favorite hobbies.
Dolly will be deeply missed and remembered with love, laughter, and admiration by all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday August 2, 2025 from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair, PA 17970 with Msgr. William F. Glosser officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday and 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund at the above address. Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven

Brenda Lynn Shappell, 46, of Harrisburg, passed away Friday July 18, 2025.
Born in Pottsville, May 2, 1979, She was a daughter of William and Mary Ann (Covach) Shappell of Pottsville.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Clarence and Barbara Shappell; Michael and Julia Covach.
In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband Larry Glover of Harrisburg; sister Erica Salen and her husband John “Butch” of St. Clair; Nieces and Nephews
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery.

Born in Pottsville on June 3, 1971, Mark was the son of the late Michael Hysock and Ann (Gavenas) Lombardo, and his late stepfather Thomas Lombardo. He was a lifetime member of the William Penn Fire Company, where he proudly served and made many lasting friendships.
He was a member of the former St. George's Church in Shenandoah, and worked throughout his lifetime on road construction. Mark was a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan.
Mark is survived by his daughters, Alyssa Huffman, wife of Justin, and Amanda Urban, wife of Sam; his sons,Thomas Beatty Jr. and Mark A. Hysock; his grandsons, Tyler and Samuel; and his beloved cat, Salem. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Drumheller and brother-in-law Brian, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mark shared many years of life with his former wife, his high school sweetheart, Lisa, with whom he remained close to.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 at 11 AM at the Walukiewicz Oravitz-Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mark's family from 9-11 AM prior to the service.

Thomas McAndrew, 73, a resident of Pottsville, passed away at his home on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Thomas was born in Ashland on January 6, 1952, a son of the late Michael A. and Isabel V. (Vernitsky) McAndrew. He was a 1969 graduate of the former JW Cooper High School in Shenandoah, and then embarked on a lifelong career as a carpenter, working for several different companies throughout his lifetime. He was proud of the fact that one of his greatest accomplishments in his lifetime was building his own home, along with his wife of 42 years, Jane (Bradley) McAndrew.
He last worked for and retired from the Empire Education Group in Pottsville, and enjoyed riding around in his 1967 Mustang. Thomas was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Pottsville.
The last member of his immediate family, in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael McAndrew and his wife Lorraine and by a sister, Margaret (McAndrew) Gownley and her husband, Terry Gownley and by a nephew, Terry Gownley, III.
Along with his wife Jane, he is also survived by nephews, Michael Gownley and Michael McAndrew, and by a niece, Kelly (McAndrew) Royer. Numerous cousins also survive.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Mahantango Street, Pottsville at 11 AM on Monday, August 4th, 2025. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the church from 10-11 AM prior to the Mass. Thomas will be laid to rest at the Annunciation Cemetery, Shenandoah, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in Thomas name are asked to be made to either Soaring Spirits Sanctuary, Beech Creek, PA or Central Virginia Sanctuary, Louisa, VA, both of which are aviary sanctuaries caring for birds.
The Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is honored to assist Thomas' family during their time of need.
