Joseph Rashad Hook, 34, of Pottsville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 18th.

Born in Pottsville on December 20, 1990, he was a son of the late Bessie Mae "Patricia" Hook and Francis J. "Red" Zawidski.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his infant sister, Ny-Eema Zawidski, & several cousins.

He was a member of Bethel AME, Pottsville.

Jo Jo attended Pottsville Area High School.

He had been employed as a roofer by Spotts Brothers, Inc.

Jo Jo is survived by four siblings: James Snowell, Pottsville, Tahisha Hook, NC, Ly-Asia Johnson, FL, & Chandra Muldowney, Llewellyn, and nieces: Braelyn & Kambrielle, & nephew: Camden.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, July 31st at Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.

Interment will be private.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to defray the cost of funeral expenses to Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville PA 17901.

Richard S. Rusinski, 78, of Valley View, passed away suddenly Thursday morning, July 24, 2025 at his home.

Rich was born on Tuesday, November 26, 1946 in Reading, a son of the late Matthew and Mildred Kneeram Rusinski. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and was a member of the Pine Grove VFW.

Rich was retired from the maintenance department at Neapco Components, LLC, Pottstown.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in by his brother, Robert Rusinski.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Myers Rusinski; a son Randy A. Rusinski, Valley View; a daughter, Denise L. Madeira, Klingerstown; two granddaughters, Brittany and Heather Monberger; four great grandchildren, Abigail, Maddie, Grace, and Matt Jr.

The Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Tower City, is honored to serve Richard's family with private cremation arrangements.
