Tamaqua Area High School standout Mason Ligenza’s baseball career took a major leap forward on Monday when the Los Angeles Dodgers selected him in the sixth round of the 2025 MLB Draft.
Ligenza was chosen with the 195th overall pick and was ranked No. 217 on MLB’s Top 250 Draft Prospects list heading into the draft.
In addition to his draft selection, he was recently named Schuylkill League Division 1 Player of the Year.
More details on his signing and next steps with the Dodgers organization are expected in the coming days.
