WEATHER ALERT: Flood Watch Issued for Schuylkill County

 

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Schuylkill County and most of eastern Pennsylvania.
(July 31st, 2025) FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATETONIGHT... 

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. 

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lebanon, Montour, Northern Lycoming, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Southern Lycoming, Sullivan and Union. 

* WHEN...From this afternoon through late tonight. 

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
