Multiple Dogs Discovered Dead in Trash Bags; One Survives in Schuylkill County



WAYNE TOWNSHIP – Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a case of animal cruelty after multiple deceased dogs were discovered inside trash bags Thursday afternoon.
According to troopers, the incident occurred around 4:12 p.m. on August 14, 2025, along Route 183 in Wayne Township. Police say they received a report of an individual dumping trash into a dumpster.

When troopers examined the contents of the bags, they found several deceased dogs inside. One dog was discovered alive and was immediately taken to a local veterinary hospital for emergency care.

Witnesses reported seeing a silver or gray Ford SUV at the scene around the time of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
