A Girardville man is behind bars after police say he assaulted a woman, threatened to kill her, and engaged in a series of disturbing acts during a domestic incident Thursday afternoon.
According to Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, troopers were dispatched to 214 East Main Street in Girardville Borough at around 1:32 p.m. on August 7, 2025, for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Investigators say the victim, told troopers she had been involved in a physical altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Raymond F. Flannery III, 39, with whom she still resides. The woman alleged that Flannery had been drinking since 4:00 a.m. and had also consumed methamphetamine.
The victim reported that after an argument earlier in the day, Flannery prevented her from reentering the residence, at one point shutting a door on her leg. Once inside, she said Flannery struck her multiple times while she was lying in bed with her two children. She called Flannery’s father to remove the children for their safety.
Police say the victim alleged that Flannery threw her into various objects around the home approximately ten times, threatened to kill her several times, urinated in the refrigerator, urinated on two dogs, and attempted to urinate on her. She also said he exposed himself to her.
Troopers observed visible scratches on the victim's arms and chest. While they were speaking with her outside, Flannery allegedly came onto the porch and shouted incoherently before retreating inside, locking the doors, and barricading them with chairs.
Police forced entry through a side door and found Flannery in an upstairs bedroom. Troopers say he refused to walk and went limp, requiring three officers to carry him out of the residence.
While in custody at the PSP Frackville barracks, police say Flannery admitted to consuming alcohol and methamphetamine earlier in the day.
Flannery was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli on the following charges:
- Terroristic Threats with Intent to Terrorize Another (M1)

- Indecent Assault Without Consent (M2)
- Resisting Arrest (M2)
