The crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. when the driver of a Subaru veered off the roadway and struck the residence. The driver suffered facial lacerations in the crash and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The woman who lives in the home was inside at the time but was not in the area of the house where the impact occurred. Authorities said the collision caused damage to a bedroom as well as electrical components of the residence.
Landingville and Orwigsburg fire companies, along with Schuylkill EMS, responded to the scene and assisted. The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the cause of the crash.
