Interstate 81 is open again in Schuylkill County following a tractor trailer rollover that shut down the northbound lanes for several hours early Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called just after 3:30 a.m. to mile marker 103.4, between the Pine Grove and Ravine exits, for reports of a tractor trailer that had overturned. Responders arrived to find the truck and its trailer on its passenger side, blocking the driving lane on the sharp turn.
As a result, northbound traffic was detoured off at the Pine Grove exit while crews worked the scene. The closure lasted for several hours before the highway was reopened later in the morning.
There was no immediate word on whether anyone was injured in the crash.
