MAHANOY CITY – Mahanoy Area Junior/Senior High School is buzzing with school spirit as it celebrates Homecoming this week.
Students have been taking part in themed dress-down days leading up to Friday’s highly anticipated festivities. The weeklong celebration will conclude with a school-wide Pep Rally on Friday afternoon, where the 2025 Homecoming King will be crowned.
That evening, the excitement will spill into the community with a Homecoming Parade, beginning at 5 p.m. The parade will feature this year’s Homecoming Court candidates and give the community a chance to join in the celebration.
During halftime of the Golden Bears’ football game against Marian Catholic, the spotlight will turn to the crowning of the 2025 Homecoming Queen and her court. Last year’s queen, Olivia Kennedy, will return to pass on the crown to her successor.
