
A Rush Township man was killed Tuesday afternoon following a motor vehicle collision in Schuylkill County.
According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, 90-year-old Raymond C. Dawson of Rush Township was pronounced dead at 4:44 p.m. on September 2, 2025, at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem.
Authorities said Dawson suffered multiple blunt force injuries sustained in a crash earlier that day. The coroner has ruled the manner of death accidental.
The incident occurred around 1:03 p.m. Tuesday in the area of the 800 block of Barnsville Drive in Ryan Township. Dawson was operating a motor vehicle that collided with a transit van.
In addition to the Coroner’s Office, the Ryan Township Police Department is investigating the crash.
