Marian High School Board Honors Pat Reilly, Welcomes New Chair Dave Bielen


The Marian High School Board of Directors recognized longtime Board Chair Pat Reilly, P ’98, ’02, ’11, of Jim Thorpe, for his 12 years of leadership during its Fall 2025 meeting.
The Board passed a formal resolution honoring Reilly for his dedication and service, and he was presented with the proclamation by Board Treasurer Bill Stulginsky ’69 during a celebratory dinner.

In addition, the Board introduced the first-ever “Board Emeritus” titles to three distinguished former members: Lee Schilling ’57 of Tamaqua, Joe Velitsky, Esq., ’62 of Summit Hill, and Jerome Palko, GP ’08, ’08 of Weatherly. The designation recognizes their years of exemplary service and commitment to Marian High School.

With Reilly stepping down, the Board unanimously appointed Dave Bielen ’69, P ’91, GP ’24 as the new Board Chair. 

“It’s an honor to step into this role and continue the legacy of leadership exemplified by Pat Reilly,” said Bielen. “His dedication to Marian has been extraordinary, and I look forward to building on that foundation as we work together to ensure a vibrant future for our school.”
