Katherine Miller, 91, of Tamaqua passed away peacefully October 6, 2025 at the Greenwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Karl C. Miller, who passed away in 2010.
Born July 6, 1934, in Coaldale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Frances (Rubachank) Scheidly.
She was a 1952 graduate of Tamaqua High School and was employed by J.E. Morgan Knitting as a machine operator for 43 years.
Katherine was a member of St. John XXIII Catholic Church, Tamaqua and was a volunteer at the meals and wheels program.
She is survived by her sister Charlotte Scheidly of Tamaqua.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Alice (Spucosky) Ohl, 89 years of age, of Tamaqua, passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was a proud, lifelong resident of Dutch Hill.
Born in Mahanoy City the daughter of the late Anthony and Constance (Cominski) Spucosky. Alice was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, Earl F. Ohl Sr. on June 25, 2005; sisters, Eleanor Daley, Lillian Laughlin.
Alice was a graduate of Tamaqua High School Class of 1954 and worked as a home health aide at the former Rest Haven Nursing Home of Schuylkill Haven, and later with Independent Living Services Tamaqua. Alice was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, she volunteered working at the Election Poll's in the Dutch Hill section of Tamaqua for many years. Alice enjoyed playing bingo, and the lottery; however, she looked forward to the nice weather and sitting on her front porch with family and friends.
Alice is survived by her 4 sons: Earl A. Ohl and wife Lisa, Mark R. Ohl and wife Pam, Michael S. Ohl, Matthew J. Ohl; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive Alice.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who loved her.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 10, 2025, at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home.
Friends and family can visit on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 P.M. and on the morning of services from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

Michael Burke, 64, of Palo Alto, passed away on October 4, 2025, at his home.
Born on December 31, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James T. and Janet F. (Palermo) Burke.
Michael was a dedicated mechanic, known for his expertise and commitment to his craft. As a self-employed professional, he took great pride in providing quality service to his clients.
He loved his Dogs and was likely the most avid Washington Commanders Fan outside of the DC area.
He is survived by his three brothers, 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Carol G. Rush, 89, of Furlong, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Carol was born in Philadelphia on April 23, 1936, a daughter of the late Carl B. and Josephine D. Gackenbach.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Rush. She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Rush, Heather Rush (Peter), Kathleen Rogers, Kristin Anthony (Christopher) and grandchildren, Brooke Anthony, Benjamin Rogers and James Rogers. Carol is also survived by her sister Diane Kidd (George), nephews David and Stephen Kidd and niece, Ellen Kidd.
At Carol’s request, private services and interment are being provided by the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home of Ringtown.
