Schuylkill County Woman Tried to Stab, Then Run Over Husband in Butler Township

Butler Township Police have issued a warrant for a Lavelle woman following a violent domestic incident Sunday evening that left one man injured.
According to police, Michelle Elizabeth Walnock, 56, of Lavelle, is wanted on multiple charges including two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (F2), two counts of Simple Assault (M2), and two counts of Harassment (M3).

Authorities say that on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at approximately 8:48 p.m., officers were dispatched to Dutch Road in Lavelle for a reported domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with Michael Walnock, who stated that he and Michelle had been arguing over infidelity issues. During the dispute, Michelle allegedly attempted to stab him twice with a knife and ripped his shirt. Michael told police that he did not retaliate during the altercation.

Later that evening, the couple’s dogs got loose. Michael said he and their juvenile daughter were riding in a UTV searching for the animals, while Michelle was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Police say that when the daughter got into the truck with her mother, Michelle attempted to hit Michael with the vehicle. Michael reported that he narrowly avoided being struck, but when he tried to open the truck door with a key fob, Michelle accelerated forward and drove over his right foot and ankle.

EMS responded to the scene and transported Michael to Shamokin Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.

Police report that Michelle fled the scene in the pickup truck and was last seen traveling toward State Route 901, possibly in the direction of Ashland.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Michelle Elizabeth Walnock to contact the Butler Township Police Department immediately.
