Landingville, PA — October 24, 2025 — Community members will have the chance to lace up their sneakers — or show off their best costumes — when the 13th annual Spooky Schuylkill 5K Walk/Run takes place on Saturday, October 25, along the Schuylkill River Trail in Landingville.
Hosted by Schuylkill Connects, the 3.1-mile loop is designed for walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. The route includes both road and trail sections, and is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly. Costumes are encouraged for both participants and their pets.
Event Details

Start time: Flexible open start between 10:00–10:10 a.m. with chip timing for accurate results.

Awards: Prizes will be given to the top two overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in multiple age groups ranging from 14 and under to 60+.

Costume contest: Categories include adult, child (13 and under, 14–17), duo, group, and dog.

Registration: Adults $35; children $25; children under 10 may participate for free with a registered adult (not eligible for shirts or bibs, but can enter the costume contest).

Packet pickup: Friday, October 24, from 12–6 p.m. at Schuylkill Connects, 11 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, or on race day from 9–9:45 a.m. at the Registration Pavilion.
Participants are asked to dress for the weather, as the event will be held rain or shine. Parking will be available at the Landingville Firehouse, within walking distance of the start line.
Supporting Community Initiatives
All proceeds from the event benefit Schuylkill Connects, a nonprofit dedicated to community engagement, health, and outdoor recreation. The organization oversees initiatives such as the Youth Summit, Healthy Schuylkill Communities, Schuylkill on the Move, and Schuylkill Keep It Pretty.
