The Pottsville Rotary Club recognized its November Students of the Month at the Club’s weekly meeting on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Vito’s Coal Fired Restaurant in St. Clair.
Congratulations to the following students:

- Minersville Area High School (MAHS): Grace Sterner and Dominico Yourey

POTTSVILLE AREA HIGH SCHOOL
Reese Ketner
Reese Ketner, daughter of Jim and Amy Ketner of Pottsville, serves as Mini-THON President, Student Council Secretary, Key Club Vice President, and Publications Editor-in-Chief. She participates in Tide Together, is a member of the Varsity Softball Team (Captain) and Bocce, and is an EnvironMentors research participant through Penn State University.
Reese volunteers by delivering meals during the holidays to families in need. After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year university and pursue a career as a pharmacist.
Maggie BrennanMaggie Brennan, daughter of Mike and Melissa Brennan of Pottsville, is Editor-in-Chief of Publications, Mini-THON Vice President, Student Council Treasurer, and Key Club President. She is also active in Tide Together, Varsity Volleyball, Track and Field, and Bocce.
Maggie has served as a Geisinger St. Luke’s Junior Volunteer, a Junior Counselor at Camp Red Jacket, Big Impact Volunteer, an American Red Cross Blood Drive Coordinator, and an altar server at St. John the Baptist Parish. She plans to attend a four-year university to major in Political Science and later earn a Juris Doctor to practice law.
MINERSVILLE AREA HIGH SCHOOL
Grace Sterner
Grace Sterner, daughter of Dave and Susie Sterner of Phoenix Park, serves as Class Vice President and Principal’s Liaison, and is a Peer Buddy, as well as a member of Diversity Club, Aevidum Club, Student Council, and TV Studio Senior Producer. She is also National Honor Society Secretary and participates in Girls’ Soccer (two-year Captain), Softball, and Bocce.
Grace has volunteered at Red Cross blood drives, Trunk or Treat events, youth soccer camps, and Little League workouts. She plans to attend college to earn a master’s degree in occupational therapy.
Dominico Yourey
Dominico Yourey, son of Gino and Jennifer Yourey of Hegins and Kathleen Yourey of Minersville, serves as Class of 2026 Treasurer, National Honor Society Vice President, Student Council Co-Officer, and is a member of Diversity Club, Aevidum Club, TV Studio, and Prom Committee. He participates in Varsity Football and Track & Field.
Dominico has volunteered with Red Cross Blood Drives, helped place flags on veterans’ graves, assisted with seventh-grade orientation, served as a youth basketball scorekeeper, and is an altar server at St. Nicholas Church. He plans to attend college to major in nursing and pursue a career as a registered nurse.
NATIVITY BVM HIGH SCHOOL
Jackson Daubert
Jackson Daubert, son of Jennifer and Jay Daubert of Pottsville, is a member of the Baseball Team, Volleyball Program (Manager), Interact Club, Student Ambassador Program, and National Honor Society, and serves as Student Council Secretary.
He volunteers as an altar server at St. John’s, has assisted community programs at JFK, and helped coordinate local blood drives. Jackson plans to continue his education and pursue a career as a mathematics teacher.
Madeline Daynorowicz
Madeline Daynorowicz, daughter of Amanda Daynorowicz of Ringtown, is involved in Varsity Soccer, Track & Field, Interact Club, and serves as Yearbook Editor. She is also Senior Class Vice President, Student Ambassador, and a member of Math Club, National Honor Society, and Science National Honor Society.
Madeline has volunteered at local youth soccer fields and participated in school outreach activities. She plans to attend college to complete a six-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and become a physical therapist, helping individuals regain strength and confidence after injury.
