The holiday season made its entrance in Girardville once again on Thanksgiving evening as Santa Claus and Rudolph arrived to greet children and families eager to kick off Christmas in the borough.
Hosted annually by the Girardville Good Times Club, the celebration has become a community tradition.
This year, Santa’s festive ride through town was escorted by members of the Girard Hose and Rangers Hose Companies, who illuminated the route with fire trucks and flashing lights as families lined the streets. Cheers filled the air as Santa and Rudolph made their way to Borough Hall, where the night’s festivities continued.
Inside Borough Hall, children had the chance to meet Santa one-on-one, share their Christmas wishes, and receive a small gift to take home.
Organizers from the Girardville Good Times Club said the goal remains the same each year—to bring the community together and give local families a special way to start the season.
