Marilyn M. Roberts, 66, of Pottsville, passed away on Friday, November 14th at her residence.

Born in Pottsville on November 26, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Mildred M. (Eckroth) and Charles G. Fisher.

Marilyn attended North Schuylkill High School.

She was employed as a CNA at Hamburg State Hospital.

Marilyn is survived by a sister, Linda Boyer and nieces & nephews: Larry Boyer, Jamie Lewis, Brooke Neilson, Richard Boyer, Darlene Kufrovich, Karen Weaver, Richard Fisher, and Brian Fisher.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her brothers: Richard, Robert, & Charles Fisher, Jr.; a nephew, Michael Boyer; and a niece, Whitney Boyer.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

MaryJane Mahal
, 90, of Minersville, passed away Saturday, November 15th, surrounded by loving family, at Luther Ridge.

MaryJane was born in Pottsville, Pa. on May 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Anne (Kiss) and Harold R. Hahn. She was the widow of Joseph P. Mahal Jr. who died, June 17, 2010.

In addition to her husband Joe, her father Harold, and her best friend, her mother Anne, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Pizano, her brother George Hahn, and a niece, Christine Goodman.

She is survived by her son, Mark J., husband of Gay A. Mahal, a daughter Michelle, wife of Salvatore Modesto. She is also survived by the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Holly Mahal, M. Ian Mahal, Dylan J. Mahal, S. Seth, husband of Dana Modesto, Jonah Modesto, Zachary Modesto. Great grandchildren, Liam and Amelie Modesto, and Logan Modesto. Her brother-in-law Sergio Pizano. Her nephews and nieces, Dr. Sara Pizano, Rafael Pizano, Karen Hahn, Peter Mahal, Kathy Muldowney, Mimi Mahal, Dr. Richard Tananis, Noreen Marzano and Dr. L.J. Tananis.

The “Heavens” became a bit brighter Saturday night when Jane crossed over from this mortal world. A beautiful, loving, kind, caring, artistic, generous to a fault woman. One who always gave to others, never for herself. "Special" is the word that described her best. One who forever opened her home to her children’s friends and treated them as if they were her own. As a mother and mother-in-law, one could not ask for better. A woman whose world revolved around her grandchildren, of whom all referred to her as “Bab”. She was there to show her love and support for them for everything. Everything!

For the countless who knew MaryJane Mahal, you were all blessed.

Her legacy shall live on in every act of kindness she ever showed.

All are most respectfully invited to attend a Visitation 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 22nd at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc.

Interment is private for the family in Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Minersville Free Public Library.

Michael J. Yordy, 79, of St. Clair, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, Allentown. He was born in Duncott on February 25, 1946, and was the son of the late Harry Yordy and Florence (Kurtz) Yordy.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” A. (Rehnert) Yordy, to whom he was married for 57 years.

Michael was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, and was currently a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair. He was a 1963 graduate of St. Clair High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and belonged to the Marine Corps League. He was employed at Lehigh Valley Dairy in Schuylkill Haven.

Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Harry Yordy.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his son, Michael H. Yordy, husband of Lynda, of Cumbola; his son, Edward M. Yordy, husband of Michele, of Lansdale, PA; his grandson, Jeffrey Yordy, husband of Madison, of Temple, PA; his granddaughter, Emily Yourey, wife of Luciano, of Minersville; his granddaughter, Chloe Yordy, of Lansdale, PA; his granddaughter, Hallie Yordy, of Cumbola; his granddaughter, Ashley Yordy, of Lansdale; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, at 11 AM with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 5 PM to 7 PM Sunday evening and from 9 AM to 10:30 AM Monday morning at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Clair.

Linda Jane Zimmerman
, 76, of Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Born on May 1, 1949 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Reuben and Evelyn Rehrer Rupp.

She was a 1967 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.

Linda was employed for many years by the Pine Grove Area School District as a Teacher's Aide and Cafeteria Aide, where she enjoyed interacting and spending time with the children, always brightening everyone's day.

She was a member of Jacob's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, and was cherished for her unwavering faith. She lived each day as a godly and faithful woman, touching the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She had a special love for yard sales and craft shows, where she enjoyed hunting for unique finds and decorations.

Above all, her family was the center of her life. Linda's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and attending all their sporting events. A full-time Grandma.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Raymond M. Zimmerman of Pine Grove; two sons, Matthew Zimmerman, Joshua and wife Janelle Zimmerman, both of Pine Grove; five grandchildren,Mikela Schley, Andrew and wife Megan Griffiths, Addison Zimmerman, Avery Zimmerman and Jake Zimmerman.

Services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either Jacob's Lutheran Church, 316 Suedberg Rd., Pine Grove, PA 17963 or St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 19 E. Pottsville St., P. O. Box 68, Pine Grove, PA 17963 in her memory.
