Born in Oakland, California, Edward dedicated his professional life to the roofing trade for more than three decades. Yet, his true passions lay in the quiet concentration of the outdoors and the satisfaction of creation.

His creativity didn’t stop there; he was a gifted painter and an engineer at heart, finding immense pleasure in building and flying detailed remote-controlled airplanes.
Edward leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship and a close-knit family. He is survived by his son, Justin E. Hill, and daughter-in-law, Jane Kieffer-Hill with whom he resided, of Tamaqua; his daughter, Melanie Hill; his 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his brothers, James and Lyle Hill.
