The event brought together students, faculty, and community members to pay tribute to local veterans, including members of the Anthony P. Damato Post American Legion. The ceremony featured patriotic music performed by the Shenandoah Valley Band and reflections on the meaning of service and sacrifice.
Guest speaker Mr. Thomas Dando, a Vietnam veteran and former principal of Shenandoah Valley, delivered an inspiring address. Drawing from his own experiences, Dando spoke about the importance of remembrance, community, and the enduring values of courage and commitment.
Following the ceremony, all veterans in attendance were invited to a luncheon in their honor, where they were thanked personally by students and staff for their service.
