Frank J. Bartosic, 85, of Schuylkill Haven passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025 while at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem.Born November 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Frank and Irene (Matzura) Bartosic.
After graduating from Mt. Carmel High School, Frank went on to serve in the United States Army. Frank was a proud Army Veteran and had trained cadets at West Point.
Frank went on to work for Union Special as a Sales Executive for over 20 years. Frank retired from Penn Sew out of Pittsburgh, working in the same capacity.
Frank was a master of all trades. He could fix anything; if he couldn’t do it, no one could. Frank was an avid golfer. He achieved 9 hole-in-ones and even had an albatross just days before becoming ill. He played in many leagues. The last one being the “Linksters” which he formed many years ago. He watched the league grow to over 40 members.
Frank’s life was defined by his sense of humor. He loved to tell corny jokes and amaze family and friends with his magic tricks; simple gestures that brought joy and wonder to those around him.
Frank will be greatly missed by his companion of 30 years, Joan Kreiser, and beloved dog Echo. He is survived by his sons, Paul Bartosic (Kristen) and Ed Bartosic (Jess); his grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Christopher, Avé, and Aziya; as well as his former wife, Margaret Peletsky. Frank is also survived by his brother, Raymond Bartosic (Mary Ann); a niece, Amanda; and grandniece, Briella.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment with military honors will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Melissa "Missy" Miller, 54, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Lodi Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She was traveling cross-country with her beloved husband, Calvin C. Miller, in their tandem rig at the time of her passing.
Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on January 24, 1971, Missy was the daughter of Frederick "Fritz" Otto and the late Sonia (Toth) Otto. A proud graduate of Dieruff High School, Missy embraced life on the open road with Calvin for over 21 years. Together, they logged countless miles, driving their truck across the United States. Her constant companion in the cab was her loyal dog, Molly.
Missy possessed a lively spirit and a love for simple pleasures. She enjoyed trying her luck at casinos and playing the lottery, always chasing the dream of a big payday. An ardent NASCAR fan, she faithfully cheered for her favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt Sr., Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kevin Harvick.
She will be profoundly missed by her family, including her father, Frederick "Fritz" Otto; her devoted husband, Calvin C. Miller; her son, Randy Czankner and his husband Zachery; her daughter, Tia M. St Peter; her brother, Michael Otto and his wife Allison; and her four cherished grandchildren: Jaylynn, Angelo, Sarai, and Lillian.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to call from 11:30 AM until the time of services.

Born at the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Marion (Dibello) Kulengosky. Alberta was a graduate of the former Butler Township High School, Fountain Springs, Class of 1955, and was employed as a sewing machine operator for Reidler Mills of Ashland and Mt. Carmel Fashions of Mt. Carmel until her retirement.
She was a member of the former Saint Mauritius Roman Catholic Church, Ashland, where she served as Leader of Song and church lector. Active with her church, she volunteered her time for many functions and painted numerous ceramic pieces that were raffled as fundraisers.
Alberta married James C. Wagner on September 2, 1956. They were married for 52 years, and he was the love of her life.
At age 15, she started the band “Rhythm and Pals,” playing at local venues. She also played with the “Rockets” and later sang with the “Born For Us” chorus. Alberta joined WPPA radio personality “Willie Whistle,” playing and singing on his program, and traveled promoting WPPA while interviewing many country artists at the Grand Ole Opry.
She was an area Girl Scout leader for 15 years, giving local girls opportunities to participate in community projects and enjoy the outdoors through summer day camps and visits to Camp Louise Penns Woods Girl Scout Camp.
Alberta loved nature, gardening, and country music, but nothing compared to her beloved dachshunds and her grandchildren. She and her husband Jim were avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed fishing and camping.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary and David Kulengosky; Theresa (Kulengosky) Polnasek; and Irene (Kulengosky) Yasenchak.
Survivors include:
Her daughter, Heidi (Wagner), wife of Scott Lapachinsky, Pottsville.
Her grandchildren, Grant and Grace Lapachinsky, Pottsville.
Her brothers, Charles Kulengosky and his wife Pam, Homesville; and Phillip Kulengosky and his wife Pam, Mission Viejo, California.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Alberta shared a special bond with her nieces Pamela LePre and Ann Marie Nasek, and her longtime helper and honorary grandson, Gerald Schlegel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., with Father Guency Isaac as celebrant. A visitation will be held in the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillside S.P.C.A., 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.
