Pottsville Woman Charged in Domestic Assault Incident; Summons Issued for Fiancé

A Pottsville woman was taken into custody following a reported domestic assault on January 24, 2026, according to Pottsville Police.
Police say officers were dispatched by the Schuylkill County 911 Center to an apartment building at 512 N. Centre Street, Apartment 3A, for a reported assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Bianca Julisa Morales, 33, of Pottsville, who reported that she and her fiancé, Shafeek Frazier, 31, of Pottsville, had been involved in both a verbal argument and a physical altercation.

Police observed that Morales had a visible black eye on the left side of her face and she complained of pain in her right shoulder. After being read her Miranda rights, Morales provided a statement to police regarding the incident.

According to police, Morales stated the argument began after she arrived home later than Frazier after being at a bar. She told officers that during the argument, she punched Frazier in the forehead, causing him to bleed. Morales further stated that Frazier then shoved her as she was walking away, causing her to fall to the floor and strike the left side of her face on the ground.

Officers also made contact with Frazier and observed a small, fresh laceration on his forehead. When questioned about the injury, Frazier reportedly told police that he had fallen down the stairs.

Based on their observations and Morales’s statement, police took Morales into custody. She was charged with one count of Simple Assault (M2) pursuant to domestic violence arrest procedures and one count of Harassment (Summary offense).

Morales was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, where bail was set at 10% of $15,000. She was subsequently committed to Schuylkill County Prison.

Police also issued a summons for Shafeek Frazier, charging him with one count of Simple Assault (M3) for his role in the incident.
