Police were dispatched to a residence on North Morris Street in St. Clair at approximately 10:04 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were met by a resident who reported that her adult daughter was highly intoxicated and had assaulted her inside the home. While speaking with police, officers reported hearing yelling and the sound of items being smashed coming from the upper floor of the residence.
Officers proceeded upstairs, where they encountered the suspect’s father attempting to restrain her. Police observed the suspect actively kicking toward him. Officers immediately intervened and attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the suspect allegedly resisted, pulling away and refusing commands to walk downstairs. She was physically escorted from the residence.
According to police, the suspect briefly calmed down near the front door but then attempted to kick officers while putting on her shoes. She was carried to a patrol vehicle, during which time she continued to kick and struck officers at least once. After being placed in the rear of the patrol vehicle, she allegedly continued kicking, striking the plexiglass and center divider, and ignored commands to stop.
Police later learned that the suspect had been consuming alcohol and was reportedly prohibited from drinking due to prior incidents. Officers observed signs of heavy intoxication inside the home, including vomit in a sink and two empty alcoholic beverages. A verbal argument reportedly escalated after the suspect was confronted about the drinking, at which point she allegedly grabbed a family member by the hair, struck her, and threw a lamp in her direction. The family member sustained visible injuries, including bruising, scratches, and bleeding.
At the police station, officers reported that the suspect attempted to flee when the patrol vehicle door was opened and continued to resist, kicking officers and attempting to bite them while being placed into a holding cell.
Based on statements, observed injuries, and the condition of the scene, police established probable cause and arrested the suspect on domestic violence-related charges.
