According to a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Lineage Logistics, located at 110 Keystone Boulevard in East Pottsville, plans to lay off 208 employees.
The filing lists the effective date of the layoff as May 27, 2026. The notice classifies the action as a layoff; however, no additional details were provided regarding whether the layoffs are expected to be temporary or permanent.
The facility is located within the Highridge Business Park in Cass Township. Lineage bought the former Tyson Cold Storage Facility last year.
WARN notices are required under federal law to provide advance notice of significant layoffs or facility closures, typically affecting 50 or more employees, giving workers and local officials time to prepare for employment transitions.
The layoff is the second major workforce reduction announced in Schuylkill County in recent weeks. In early March, Saks & Company confirmed it will permanently close its distribution center in the Highridge Industrial Park, impacting 435 employees. That closure, also filed through a WARN notice with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, is expected to take place between early May and the end of the month as part of broader restructuring by its parent company.
