Mountain Valley Golf Course to Close; Property Rezoned for Industrial Use

A longtime local golf destination will soon be closing its doors, as Mountain Valley Golf Course is scheduled to cease operations later this year.
According to a statement provided to other local media outlets, the golf course is expected to close during the second week of October 2026. The property has reportedly been purchased, with plans for future commercial and industrial business use.

Public records show that the Mountain Valley property was rezoned earlier this year by Ryan Township to allow for industrial use, a move that aligns with the reported plans for redevelopment of the site.

Skook News reached out to representatives of Mountain Valley Golf Course for additional details and comment but did not receive a response.

In the meantime, the impending closure is already impacting customers who had future events scheduled at the venue. Multiple couples have told Skook News they were recently notified that weddings planned for dates after October 2026 would no longer be honored. Those individuals reported receiving refunds following the notice.

Mountain Valley Golf Course has long been used not only for golf but also as a venue for weddings, banquets, and other events, making the closure a significant change for those who had planned celebrations at the site.

At this time, no further details have been released regarding the timeline for redevelopment or the specific type of businesses expected to occupy the property.

Additional information is expected to be released as the transition moves forward.
