The crash occurred around 5:23 p.m. on March 10, 2026, on East Pottsville Street (Route 443), just east of School Street in Pine Grove Township.
According to state police, Timothy C. O’Rourke, 81, of Lykens, was driving a 2006 Ford Econoline E250 and attempting to make a left turn onto East Pottsville Street. At the same time, Felicia A. Moyer, 24, of Auburn, was traveling eastbound on a 2025 Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycle on East Pottsville Street.
Police say that as O’Rourke entered the roadway, the motorcycle struck the front driver’s side of the van.
Moyer sustained critical injuries in the crash and was transported by Pine Grove Community Ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital–East, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
O’Rourke was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt, according to the report. Police said Moyer was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
State police say the investigation remains ongoing. Members of the Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists (CARS) unit responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
