Robert Joseph Brish, Sr.
, age 79, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Thursday, March 19th, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, PA on May 31, 1946, he was the son of the late Stephen and Josephine (Buehler) Brish.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He worked at the Hamburg Foundry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Fred Brish

Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda A. Brish; a son Robert J. Brish Jr. and his wife Ronda; a daughter Dana A. Brish; grandchildren: Kobe and Kira Brish; brothers: Stephen Brish and his wife Stella and Joseph Brish; and nieces and nephews.

Interment with Military Honors will be held private at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home, Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.

Carol Ann Buchinski
, age 80, of Pottsville, PA passed away Friday, March 20th, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on April 23, 1945, she was the daughter of the late George and Kathryn (Brubaker) Hueston.

Carol worked for Alpha Mills and then as a Bus Aide for the Pottsville Area School District. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother George "Scotty" Hueston

Carol is survived by two daughters: Tammy Maccarone and her husband Vince and Laurie Sweat; a son Brian Buchinski; and grandchildren: Vinnie, Ashley, Aaron, Michael, Andrew, and Eric.

A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon at 11AM on Wednesday, March 25th, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday from 9-11AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA P.O. Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901.

Virginia C. Visot, 91 of Pottsville, died Tuesday, March 17 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East, Pottsville.

She was born February 18, 1935, in Lajas, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Ferdinand Oscar Calder Perez and Virginia Bracero Calder Cruz.

She was a graduate of Academia San Luis and Catholic University of Puerto Rico.

Prior to retiring she was a teacher at Colegio PonceƱo.

Virginia was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville where at one time she was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the choir.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladyz Guilloty, Idida Martinez, Oscar Calder, Ileana Christian;

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Dr. Luis R. Visot; a daughter Lourdes Sikora, and her husband David, Plains; 2 sons, Luis Raul Visot and his wife Cindy, Tampa, FL; Luis Ricardo Visot, Columbia, MO; 2 grandchildren, David and Isabel Sikora; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 27, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with Rev. Kevin J. Bobbin as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10AM until the time of mass. Interment will follow in St. John No. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Virginia be made to St. John Memorial Fund, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901.

Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, James B. Humphrey, F.D., Pottsville.
