According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, troopers were dispatched around 4:08 a.m. on March 11, 2026, to a residence on the 3 Codorus Road for a report of a 911 hang-up call.
Police say that upon arriving at the scene, they found a 39-year-old male shot in the arm. He had stated that he was shot by Alyica Marie Yost, 36, and that she was still inside the residence.
The victim was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities said Yost refused commands to exit the residence, prompting the activation of the Pennsylvania State Police Troop L Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) and the Major Case Team.
After the teams were deployed, Yost eventually exited the residence, where she was taken into custody by SERT members. She was then transported to a hospital for a medical evaluation.

State Police have filed charges of felony criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment. As of this posting, she was had not been arraigned.

The Ryan Township Fire Department assisted at the scene by closing a section of the state road during the incident.
