The clinics, organized in partnership with Fitter & Faster, will take place April 11 and 12 at North Schuylkill Junior & Senior High School in Ashland.
Leading the sessions will be Leah Gingrich, a two-time All-American and Olympic Trials qualifier. Gingrich, a native of Enola, Pennsylvania, competed at East Pennsboro Area High School before continuing her collegiate career at the University of Texas. During her time there, she earned All-American honors twice, received four honorable mention All-American selections, captured six Big 12 championships, and competed as a finalist at both the U.S. Olympic Trials and U.S. Swimming National Championships.
The clinic will feature four small-group sessions designed to focus on key aspects of competitive swimming.
On Saturday, April 11, swimmers will work on underwater proficiency and breakouts during the first session, followed by starts and fast breakouts off the blocks in the second session.
Sunday’s sessions will shift to turns and finishes in the morning, with the final session focusing on the essentials of short-distance sprinting.
According to organizers, the small-group format is intended to provide swimmers with individualized instruction and technique refinement in a high-level training environment.
The Fitter & Faster program is recognized as one of the leading providers of competitive swim camps worldwide, offering instruction from elite swimmers and coaches to help athletes improve performance and racing skills.
