Harry “Dennis” Mallams
, Crystal Ridge and formerly of Frackville, passed away at home on Wednesday. Born in Shenandoah Heights, he was the son of the late Harry and Ruth (Kantner) Mallams. Dennis was a 1964 graduate of the former Frackville High School. Employed by several garment factories throughout his life, he retired in 2012. He also coached Little League baseball in Frackville for many years.

Dennis was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Frackville and is currently a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Conyngham. He was a member of the 500 Fish and Game Club in Shenandoah.

Preceding him in death is his son, Kurt David Mallams. He is survived by his partner, Deb Jones; son, DJ Mallams, and his wife, Joyce; granddaughter, Emilee, and her husband, Alex; and granddaughter, Kylie. He is also survived by his two great granddaughters, Charlotte and Sophia.

As a final act of kindness and love, Dennis donated his body to the PA Humanities Gift Registry in honor of his granddaughters, who are both in the medical field.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Conyngham at a later date.

Patricia Anne (Rooney) Turton
, 71, of Rush Township, Tamaqua, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Born on September 29, 1954, in Bordeaux, France, while her father served in the U.S. Army, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Mae (Waters) Rooney. Patti was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, Brian A. Turton (2021), and her niece, Sophia Lane Osenbach.

A 1972 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Patti dedicated much of her life to the local school community. She retired after 22 years in the maintenance department at Tamaqua Area High School and previously worked in the cafeteria at Marian Catholic. More than just an employee, Patti viewed her work as a mission to mentor local youth. She took immense joy in building lifelong bonds with students and staff, always celebrating their accomplishments as if they were her own.

Her commitment to service extended to her faith and community. A lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday School for 17 years. She was also a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack #778.

Patti lived a life of vibrant activity. She was a doting grandmother who never missed a grandchild's game or social event. Whether she was decorating her home, crafting gift baskets for local fundraisers, or enjoying lunch with her "posse" of lifelong friends, she never sat idle. She loved trips to the beach, strolls through Jim Thorpe, live music, and the occasional shopping trip.

Surviving are sons, Jonathan E. Tewskbury and his wife Nicole "Nikki", Justin Tewksbury and his wife Janelle; sister, Lou Ann Rooney and her companion Allen Masters; grandchildren, Madison, Victoria, Athena, and Abby.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home Rev. Dilion Epler to officiate.

A viewing will be held on Monday evening May 11, 2026 at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.m. and on the morning of services beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Larry Lee Kohr
, 77, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, May 7th at home.

He was born in Lickdale, PA on June 9, 1948, a son of the late Roy and Edith I. (Mease) Kohr.

Larry was the loving husband of Emma "Dolly" (Bohr) Kohr to whom he was married for 60 years.

He was a member of St John's UCC in Orwigsburg.

Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1990.

Following his military career, he retired from the Casket Factory in Schuylkill Haven where he worked for 20 years.

Larry was a member of the Cressona American Legion Post 286, an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, and enjoyed fishing and playing poker with family and friends. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Roy, Edwin and Raymond Kohr, sister in law Charlotte (Leeper) Kohr, granddaughter Heather Weller and great granddaughter Kajia Houtz. Larry is also survived by daughters Loriann Weller, wife of Mark, Tina Kohr, Sara Kohr, and Jennifer Zvorsky wife of David; son John Kohr fiancé of Christi Graver; sister Arlene Glass, brothers Carl Kohr and Dale, husband of Suzi Kohr, sister in law Peggy (Wolf) Kohr, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 11th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven with Pastor Jeffrey Johnson officiating. A Public Viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:00 am until the time of services. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park in Schuylkill Haven.

Jane T. Jones
, 92, of Frackville, passed away peacefully at her home early Thursday morning with her family by her side.

Born in Gilberton, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Blanche (Tregea) Bevan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jones; and two brothers, Joseph and Robert Bevan.

Jane worked as secretary to the superintendent of the North Schuylkill School District until her retirement. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church, Frackville and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Jane especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and took great pride in the work she performed throughout her years with the school district. Her kindness, dedication, and gentle presence will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Jane is survived by her two daughters, Ellen Pappas of Frackville; Norma Kehley and her husband Todd of Gansevoort, NY; and by her beloved grandchildren, Jordan Sasse and her husband Karl, Karly Green and her husband Ryan, David Kehley, and Marisa Kehley.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jane's Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th from the First United Methodist Church, Frackville. Interment will follow the service at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jane’s memory to the First United Methodist Church at 25 S. Balliet Street Frackville, PA 17931.

Arrangements are under the care of Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., Frackville.
