A woman killed in an ATV rollover crash on the Famous Reading Outdoors property near St. Clair Sunday morning has been identified by authorities as Rebecca Ellen Miller, 57, of Tremont.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 9:36 a.m. Sunday on Darkwater Road in New Castle Township. Troopers say a 36-year-old man was operating a 2024 Honda Talon 1000R utility terrain vehicle when he lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Police said Miller was a passenger in the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office at 10:50 a.m.
The operator was flown from the scene and was reported to be in critical condition. Two other passengers, a 15-year-old female and a 59-year-old female, were transported to local hospitals with injuries but were reported to be in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Troop L Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, Troop L Forensic Services Unit, and the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.
