The Schuylkill County Fair will return next week with six days of agricultural exhibits, live entertainment, competitions, carnival rides and family activities.
The 2026 fair will run from Monday, July 27, through Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds, 2270 Fair Road near Schuylkill Haven.
This year’s fair will celebrate “250 Years of Freedom, Family & PA Fairs,” recognizing the nation’s semiquincentennial.
Each day of the fair will feature a different theme, beginning with Pulling Day on Monday. Other themes include Kids Day on Tuesday, Schuylkill County Day on Wednesday, Senior Appreciation Day on Thursday and Military/First Responders Day on Friday. The fair concludes Saturday with a celebration of freedom, family and Pennsylvania fairs.
The schedule includes truck and tractor pulls, agricultural demonstrations, livestock activities, horse events, contests, line dancing, children’s programs and performances throughout the fairgrounds.
Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix will provide daily entertainment at the amphitheater. Additional programs will be held each evening along the indoor midway, including wildlife, crime prevention, invasive plant, mosquito and reptile presentations.
Truck and tractor pulling events will be held during the week, including Pull Off Productions on Monday, Atlantic Pro Pulling on Tuesday and celebrity and farm stock pulling events Wednesday.
Tuesday’s Kids Day activities will include Touch-A-Truck, a stick horse obstacle course, children’s contests, line dancing and other programs. Wednesday’s Schuylkill County Day will highlight local attractions and include a celebrity tractor pull.
Thursday’s Senior Appreciation Day schedule includes livestock activities, equine demonstrations and a cornhole tournament. Registration for the tournament begins at 5 p.m., followed by competition at 6 p.m.
Veterans, active-duty military personnel and first responders wearing red will receive free admission Friday during Military/First Responders Day. A recognition ceremony and presentation of colors are planned that evening.
Saturday’s closing-day schedule includes an open horse show, antique tractor pull, master showman contest, livestock judging and fairground parades.
General admission is $5 from Monday through Saturday. Children age 10 and younger are admitted free, and parking is always free.
Fairground gates open at 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Carnival rides will open at 4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Saturday and at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Daily ride bands will be available for $25.
