David Paul Faust
, 82, of Topton, PA passed away Tuesday, July 28th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Dave was born in Reading, PA on September 19, 1943, a son of the late Theodore & Evelyne (Seavers) Faust.

He attended Central Catholic High School and was of the Catholic faith.

He had been employed by Reading Tube (Cambridge Lee) as a machine operator.

Dave loved to fish, shop at flea markets, and play Bingo and cards with “The Gang”.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Sandra Faust, wife of Jeffrey Fidler, Schuylkill Haven, sister, Anne Betz, Exeter, PA, daughter-in-law, Dolores Faust & three granddaughters: Desiree, Krischell, Kathryn, all of the Philippines, and many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Faust, Jr., and two brothers: Theodore Faust, Jr. & Thomas Faust.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 4th at Summer Hill Cemetery, Summit Station.

At the family's request, memorial donations in Dave’s name may be forwarded to Hillside SPCA: PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901 or Shriners Children's Attn: Shriners Children's Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.

Lenwood Hepler, age 93 of Spring Glen, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at his residence.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service at 11 AM on Saturday, August 1st, 2026 at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 Main Street, Valley View, PA. A viewing will be held from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service.

Len will be laid to rest following military honors at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026 at 11 AM.

Joseph W. Holt
, 82, of Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 in Geisinger St. Lukes Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Born on September 21, 1943 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Joseph W. Holt, Sr., KIA 1944 WWII, and Margaret M. Brennan Holt.

He was a 1961 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville.

He served over 31 years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Fort Indiantown Gap, where he was an Administrative Assistant, Administrative Officer and Director of Administrative Services.

Joe was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1967 and during his military career, served as a Platoon Leader, Detachment Executive Officer, Company Commander 131st Transportation Co., Administrative Officer, and Secretary of the General Staff, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Because his father was KIA in WWII, his mother and fathers relatives kept a watchful eye on him as he grew up. His uncles, Joe Carr and Joe Hoffman, taught him to hunt and fish while his uncle Bill McGowan taught him how to drive and secure his drivers license.

Joe enjoyed military history and was past president of both the Schuylkill County Historical Society and Schuylkill Stamp and Coin Club and past vice president of the Pennsylvania National Guard Museum, Ft. Indiantown Gap. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 374, Pine Grove, Muir Fire Co., Orwin Gun Club, social member of the Pine Grove VFW Post 3432, and past secretary and trustee of the Orwin Fire Company.

Joe enjoyed playing poker, pinochle, euchre and hausie with his friends.

Preceding him in death was a grandson, Adam Purcell.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judith D. Zimmerman Holt; two daughters, Susan L. Purcell and husband Scott of Pottsville, Traci L. Lettich and companion Mike Cooper of St. Louis, MI; four grandchildren, Ryan Purcell, Hunter Purcell and companion Jillian Valentine, Brittni Shaak and Paige Lettich; two great grandchildren, Elliott Purcell and Ryland Kimmel; many cousins and friends

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Dr., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.
