Michael F. McGinnis, 69, of Minersville, formerly of St. Clair, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at his home.
He was born in Pottsville on May 8, 1957, and was the son of the late Michael McGinnis Sr. and Mary (Mushock) McGinnis.
Michael was of the Catholic faith. He was employed at the former Bleach and Dye in Port Carbon, among other places.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael McGinnis Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Beth Strohl of Pottsville; his daughter, April Stehr, wife of Chad, of Frackville; his daughter, Michelle McGinnis of Auburn; his daughter, Donna McGinnis; his daughter, Leanna McGinnis of St. Clair; his sister, Ann Marie Downey, wife of Ronald, of Pottsville; and 12 grandchildren.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family prefers contributions in Michael's memory to help defray funeral costs, c/o the family.
James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair, is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mae Elizabeth Myers, 71, of Frackville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.Born in Pottsville, PA on October 18, 1954, she was a daughter of the late James and Martha (Gradwell) Myers and sister of Catherine Myers.
She attended Avenues Eldergarden Adult Day Program daily and will be deeply missed by her friends and all those who cared for her through Community Services Group.
Graveside Services will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.

Helen D. Schwalm, age 93 of Sacramento, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026 while a guest at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Helen was born in Pottsville on March 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude (Straub) Stutzman. She was a graduate of the former Hubley Township High School.
A lifelong homemaker, Helen was also well known for selling children's clothing for over twenty years out of her home in Valley View.
She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Valley View, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. Helen enjoyed quilting, antiques and traveling, along with playing "Hausey" in her weekly card club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reno Schwalm in 1995, and by a sister, Frances Minnich.
Helen is survived by her son, Andrew Schwalm and his wife Eileen of Sacramento, and by a daughter, Nan, wife of Bernie Sadoski of Massachusetts. Two grandchildren, Robert and Aubrey survive, along with a great granddaughter Kaydence. She is also survived by a brother, William Stutzman, and his wife Cindy, and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, August 8th 2026, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 1382 W Main St, Valley View. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM, prior to the service at the church.
Helen will be laid to rest alongside her husband at St. Andrews Cemetery, immediately following the service.
Funeral arrangements are being provided by the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View.
