Frackville Police Welcome New Officer, Borough Accepting Applications for Another

The Borough of Frackville is accepting applications for a full-time police officer as the Frackville Police Department continues to add to its ranks.
The hiring announcement comes shortly after the department welcomed its newest officer. On Thursday, August 13, Patrolman Christopher Daynorowicz was sworn in as a full-time officer with the Frackville Police Department.

The borough says Daynorowicz brings several years of first responder experience to the department, having served as both an emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter before becoming a full-time police officer.

Meanwhile, the borough is seeking applicants to fill another full-time police officer position.

According to the borough's job posting, applicants must be at least 21 years old, possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a Graduate Equivalency Diploma, and reside within 30 miles of Frackville.

Applicants are also required to have successfully completed Act 120 training and be certified by the Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission. Candidates must be physically and mentally capable of performing the full duties of a police officer and possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Previous experience will be considered during salary discussions.

Applications and required forms are available at the Frackville Borough Office, 42 South Center Street, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Completed applications must be delivered to the borough office by 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026, in a sealed envelope addressed to Borough Secretary Brenda Deeter.

Applicants will be required to complete a written examination at a date yet to be determined at the Frackville Borough Office. Additional portions of the hiring process include an oral examination, physical fitness test, medical examination, background examination and psychological examination.

The borough also states that anyone receiving a conditional offer of employment must remove themselves from all other eligibility lists.
