The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch at 12:25 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2026. The watch remains in effect until 7:00 p.m.
In addition to Schuylkill County, the watch includes Adams, Bradford, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Luzerne, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Susquehanna, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York counties.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms in and near the watch area. Residents should remain alert for changing weather conditions and be prepared to seek shelter if warnings are issued.
Anyone with outdoor plans Monday afternoon and evening should keep an eye on the weather and have a way to receive alerts.
If a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued for your area, move indoors and stay away from windows until the storm has passed.
The watch is scheduled to remain in effect through 7:00 p.m. Monday.
