The Pine Grove Area High School Cardinal Band is bringing the music of Bruno Mars to the field in 2026 with a high-energy show designed to accomplish what the band does best: entertain.
Pine Grove Area’s 2026 Field Show
The show, titled “24 Kardinal Magic: The Music of Bruno Mars,” features music made famous by Bruno Mars.
The Cardinal Band’s musical selections include:
- “Leave the Door Open”
- “Runaway Baby”
- “24K Magic”
- “Treasure”
- “I Just Might”
Eila Zerbe, Riley Ott and Reagan Schaeffer are featured as the show’s “24Karat Voices.” The performance closes with “I Just Might,” with the audience becoming part of the Cardinal Band experience.
About the Pine Grove Area Cardinal Band
The Cardinal Band includes 100 musicians in grades eight through 12, along with 20 members of the band front and color guard.
Leading the band on the field are senior drum majors Reagan Schaeffer and Kylie Hatter and junior drum major Allie Strubhar.
Ken Gibson is marking his 30th year as director of the Pine Grove Area Cardinal Band. The staff also includes Color Guard Advisor Lizann White and assistants Dawn Christensen, Tiffany Readinger and Nikkole Brown.
When asked about the band’s objective for the 2026 season, its answer was simple: “Entertain!”
