Salvation Army of Pottsville seeks volunteers and business support for its 2026 Red Kettle Campaign

POTTSVILLE — The Salvation Army of Pottsville is seeking volunteers, community groups and local businesses to support its 2026 Red Kettle Campaign.

The annual fundraiser helps the organization provide holiday assistance and community services throughout the year.

What the Red Kettle Campaign Supports

According to the Salvation Army, its annual assistance efforts include:

  • Thanksgiving meals for more than 150 families
  • Christmas toys for more than 600 children
  • Christmas meal assistance
  • Coat distribution
  • Rental, electric and heating oil assistance
  • Life skills programs for adults and children

“Our Red Kettle Campaign is a vital fundraiser to help support our community throughout the year,” the Salvation Army said in its appeal.

Ways Individuals and Groups Can Help

Individuals, families and community groups can volunteer to ring the bell at Red Kettle locations throughout the Pottsville area.

Local businesses may also support the campaign by:

  • Allowing customers to round up purchases or make donations at checkout
  • Participating in a paper kettle pin-up campaign using a supplied UPC code
  • Providing space for a small countertop kettle to collect customer donations

How to Volunteer

Anyone interested in participating may complete the Salvation Army volunteer application. The organization will follow up with additional information about the selected opportunity.
