Schuylkill Haven Area senior Lydia Hartz has surpassed 500 career assists, adding a milestone to her final season with the Lady Canes volleyball team.
The team recognized Hartz following its , match against Weatherly, reporting her career total at 520 assists.
Hartz Records 16 Assists in Weatherly Sweep
Hartz recorded 16 assists, three aces and two kills as Schuylkill Haven swept the Wreckers, 25-6, 25-20, 25-9.
Gracelyn Line contributed eight aces, one kill and three digs in the victory. Mikayla Koller added two aces, one kill, one assist and two digs.
Strong October Performances Lead to Milestone
The milestone recognition followed several strong October performances for Hartz. She recorded 32 assists, six digs, two kills and two aces in Schuylkill Haven’s October 13 victory over Shenandoah Valley.
On October 8, Hartz contributed a double-double with 30 assists and 10 digs as the Lady Canes rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Williams Valley in five sets. She also finished that match with three kills, two aces and one block.
Earlier in the month, Hartz recorded 25 assists, six digs, three kills and one ace in an October 5 sweep of Tamaqua. She also contributed 20 assists in a straight-set victory over Minersville on October 1.
