The NCLEX-PN is the examination nursing school graduates must pass to obtain practical nursing licensure in Pennsylvania.
Practical Nursing Programs for Adult Learners
STC offers an 18-month day program and a 24-month evening program for adult learners at its North Campus. Both programs include classroom instruction and clinical rotations with regional health care providers and community organizations.
STC Director Dr. Shannon Brennan credited the program’s flexible scheduling with helping students balance their education with work and family responsibilities.
The practical nursing program offers three- and four-day class schedules, which Brennan said contribute to student retention and success on the licensure examination.
“Schuylkill Technology Center has a proud tradition of preparing nurses to fill the workforce needs of Schuylkill County since 1968, and we are extremely proud of our success rates,” said Kimberly O’Neill, Practical Nursing Program Coordinator.
