Thomas was born in Mahanoy City, PA on October 29, 1950, a son of the late Rose (Wisczgarda) and Albert Maziekas.
He worked for many years at Mahanoy Elderly until his retirement and then for the Philly Pretzel Factory in St. Clair.
He served for many years as a Mahanoy City Councilman and during his tenure also served as president of the Council. He was a former actor in local B movies. He also loved going to the Casino.
He graduated from Mahanoy Area High School Class of 1968.
He was the husband of Diane (Handza) Maziekas with whom he was married for 50 years.
Thomas is survived by three sons Thomas Jr., of Mahanoy City; Albert, husband of Amy, of Ashland; Michael, husband of Jessica, of Long Island NY;
Thomas is also survived by two brothers, John, of Mahanoy City; George, of Barnesville.
He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren Jack, Jude, Hunter, Camryn, and Chloe. Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother Albert F. Maziekas.
Religious Service at the Funeral Home at 7:30 pm on Friday, October 28th, with Deacon Edward Girard officiating.
