Baby's Body Found in Garbage Bag Near Middleport
A baby's body was found in a trash bag this morning in Blythe Township. The bag was found near 189 Winfield Drive when authorities were called around 3am after a resident smelled something in the trash.
The cause remains unknown and an autopsy will be performed Wednesday.
Update from Republican Herald:
State police at Frackville arrested Tara Lynne Paltanavage, 22, of 189 Winfield Drive, Middleport. Charged with endangering the welfare of children, concealing the death of a child, recklessly endangering another person and abuse of corpse. Paltanavage was arraigned before District Magisterial Judge David Plachko and bail was set at $250,000. Paltanavage was committed to Schuylkill County Prison.
