2013 Schuylkill County Halloween Parades and Trick or Treats

Ashland
Parade: The annual Halloween parade for the children of the Ashland area will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, at 3 p.m. starting at 19th and Centre streets. The parade is sponsored by the Ashland Area Rotary Club. Costumed children, accompanied by their parents or guardians, will march down Centre Street to the Ashland Post Office on Ninth Street where treats will be distributed to the children.
Trick or Treat:  October 31st, 6-8PM

Frackville
Parade:  October 27th, 2PM
Trick or Treat: October 31st, 6:00-8:30PM

The Frackville Elk’s Lodge and its members have combined efforts this year with the Frackville Recreation Board for a Halloween Parade & Party to be held in the borough on Sunday October 27, 2013. Registration for the parade will start at 1pm and the parade will follow at 2pm.

Registration and parade start will be at the Frackville Borough Hall’s parking lot. Participants will parade from the parking lot to the Elk’s building on Arch Street. The Elk’s Lodge will host a Halloween Party from 2:30pm until 4:00. Food, drinks, Halloween games, and goodies will be provided during the party and prizes will be awarded after judging is completed. Music will be provided by DJ Drew..
Trick or Treat is 10/31/13 from 6 to 8:30 pm

There are five categories for costume judging including Scariest, Adorable, Original, Funniest, and Judge's Choice. There will be no pet category this year for prizes. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded based on the judge’s decision. Groups can enter but will be judged individually. Prizes are being provided by the Frackville Recreation Board and ribbons are graciously being donated by Elaine Mykolayko of the Frackville Free Public Library.

In the event of inclement weather, the event including registration and judging will be held at the Elk’s Lodge. Find out more about the events sponsored by the Frackville Recreation Board on their Facebook page.

Trick or Treat Night in the Frackville Borough will be held October 31, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

Mahanoy City
Trick or Treat:  Thursday, October 31st. from 6:00 - 8:00pm 
Safe Trick-or-Treat at the Mahanoy Area Middle School gym will be held at the same time. Residents are asked to turn on their porch lights to provide trick or treaters some added lighting and safer travels.

Parade will start at the high school, travel down Main Street to Parkway Ave to the High Rise, then back to the Walk In Art Center.
