Fatal Crash Thursday Morning on Route 209 Near Cumbola

Just after 9am, crews were called to Route 209 near Boardman Brothers in Cumbola for a motor vehicle accident involving a car carrier tractor trailer and a vehicle.


A male in the vehicle was reported to be heavily entrapped.

UPDATE:  WNEP is now reporting that the victim of Scot Bedford, 31, of Pottsville.

Bedford was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports are stating that Bedford lost control of this vehicle on a the curve and hit the carrier truck while traveling south on Route 209.
