Two Charged in Schuylkill Haven Tire Slashing, Asking for Help Finding One of the Individuals

The Schuylkill Haven Borough Police have charged two men from the borough in a tire slashing incident that took place in the early morning hours of May 6th, 2014.


According to a press release, Rodney A. Mcdonald, 22, and John A. Casella, 23, both of Schuylkill Haven were arrested on charges of criminal mischief totaling $3,072,59, loitering and prowling at night time, and disorderly conduct.

Police were able to identify the individuals through several surveillance camera videos from throughout the borough.

Through the investigation, police determined that McDonald and Casella walked around the borough slashing the tires of at least 13 different victims.

Police also received reports that McDonald brandished a knife toward a truck driver earlier that night in the borough.  Police are still investigating.

The Schuylkill Haven Borough Police have been unable to get in contact with Rodney A. McDonald.  District Judge James R. Ferrier of Orwigsburg has issued an arrest warrant for McDonald.

Anyone coming in contact or know his whereabouts are asked to call 911 or Schuylkill Haven Borough Police at (570) 385-9111.  You can remain anonymous if you contact either.  Based on the alleged crime of assault with a weapon, Police suggest you don't approach McDonald.
