PA Senate Passes Medical Marijuana Bill; Moves to House for Vote

On Wednesday Afternoon, the Pennsylvania State Senate passed Senate Bill 1182 taking a big step to legalize the use of Medical Marijuana in Pennsylvania.

The Bill would allow state residents to buy, possess and use medical marijuana for the treatment of a qualifying condition.

While this does not officially legalize marijuana in Pennsylvania, it's a big step for the Republican Majority Senate to pass this bill.

Republican's hold the majority 27 to Democrats 23.

The vote went 43-7

The Bipartisan Bill was led my Senator Leach (Democrat) and Senator Folmer(Republican).

The Bill will now be moved to the House for it's concurrence.
