Officials carried out a large drug sweep Wednesday morning in the borough of Shenandoah.

This morning residents were told to stay in their homes as a drug sweep around the borough took place on multiple streets in the borough.

From what we've been told drug raids took place on North and South Jardin, South West, Coal, and South White Streets.

Shenandoah Mayor Andrew Szczyglak said "It was a job well done by all agencies involved!"

Update (3:00PM) - According to the Republican Herald, the Rodeway Inn in West Mahanoy Twp. near Frackville was also raided as well.
