Saturday, November 22nd - 2ND ANNUAL GUZ’S CHRISTMAS PROJECT – 3-6pm, Barefield Recreation Complex, Pottsville. This year “Guz’s 2nd Annual Christmas Project” will benefit both the Hillside SPCA and Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA. We will deliver the items to both shelters close to Christmas. We are hosting drop-off event so that anyone who is able to help can drop their donations off at the event and gather for light snacks and refreshments in honor of David’s birthday. There will also be drop off boxes at various locations for those of you who cannot make the event at Barefield. Drop-off locations: Williamson, Friedburg & Jones in Pottsville, Studio 16 Salon, Kreitzer Sanitation (Frackville), Agway (Cressona), Fanelli, Evans & Patel, Perception Training Center, Pottsville Area School District, Penn State Schuylkill, Assumption BVM School, First Friends, Sasha's Canine Bakery, Seltzer Insurance, S&J Gift Outlet, First Friends Daycare, SAPA, Minersville Police Dept., Fellows & Smink Dental Associates and the Mahoning Valley Animal Hospital. If you have a photography session with the wonderful, Stesha Caddy, between now (October) and when we pick up in December, you can take a donation item to your session!! If anyone is interested in hosting a drop-off box for the event please contact Samantha Cody Chivinski, Lori Guzick or Mary Catherine Guzick. We will pick the items up as we get closer to Christmas. If you can help, the following items would be greatly appreciated: Hillside SPCA - Dry & Wet cat and dog food, Small animal food (rabbits, rats, etc.), Laundry detergent, Disinfectant wipes and sprays, Paper products, buckets, brooms, Blankets, towels, Dog & cat treats, Collars of all sizes, First aid supplies, Dish soap, Dog & cat toys and beds, Office supplies (pens, printer paper, white out, etc.). An account is set up (Joe’s Fund) for medical expenses for anyone interested in making monetary donations.
