Another Dave Naydock Mural Saved

A 20 foot by 8 foot mural, painted by Dave Naydock, that was in jeopardy of being removed has been announced that it will now be saved.

The mural of Pottsville, that is inside the former office Magistrate James K. Reilly, was rumored to have been scheduled to be removed but now, according to the painter's Facebook page, the Group that owns the building will be keeping the mural.

Another one of Dave Naydock's murals was also in jeopardy at the Brewer's outlet, which closed last month.  It was later announced that mural will be saved as well.

Naydock passed away at the age of 52 in January of 2013 and has painted over 180 murals within Schuylkill County and the surrounding areas.  His first known work was at the Inn of Orwigsburg in 1983.  He also painted the mural that welcomes you into the Dunkin Donuts on Route 61 in Pottsville and also the mural on the wall along Mauch Chunk Street by the Schuylkill Medical Center South.
