The crashes which were reported to have been due to icy road conditions. One of the crashes involved an overturned horse trailer.
The interstate was closed during the time of the cleanup of the crash.
A horse was rescued by cutting the top off of the overturned trailer and according to the fire department the horse only suffered a cut in the crash. The horse is expected to recover.
The Interstate reopened around 9am.
