Grand Jury Recommends Charges Against Attorney General

According to multiple sources, the grand jury investigating Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane has recommended charges of perjury and other crimes for allegedly leaking confidential information to a Philadelphia newspaper in a bid  to embarrass her enemies, according to court documents unsealed today.

In the court documents, it states "We find reasonable grounds to believe that various violations of the criminal laws have occurred".

Today's announcement is only an advisory, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman must decide whether to file charges.
